Our body is a mysterious vessel that carries our spirit.

As we pass through the many stages in life, our experiences ripen us as one being. In accordance with that, our bodies keep changing.

The "Change" in our bodies is experienced diversely depending on our lifestyles and emotional tendencies. Also called a "Symptom," the "change" is often a signal alerting us of imbalance between our spirit, and our physical body.

We are unique individuals, as are our bodies. No body has same exact characteristics, just as no two individuals have identical faces. In my herbalism practice, I suggest customized regiments with natural plant medicines, nourishing your unique body.

Through a holistic approach, I observe the imbalance in your vessel, then work correct each imbalance from its root using herbal medicines. My goal is to support you — your spirit and your body — to function as one unified vessel.

HERBAL MEDICINE

Herbal [plant] medicine is a beneficence from nature.

Like our bodies, plants are also organisms containing vitamins, minerals, antibiotics, hormones, all in a form which is easily assimilated into the human body. We can utilize those natural, active constituents to the fullest by consuming in the appropriate forms; decoctioninfusiontincturepoultice, etc…

Herbalism, with its natural ingredients, has existed through all of human history.

Since the dawn of history, it’s a well established fact that herbalism developed uniquely in regions and civilizations all over the world. The ancient wisdom from these early civilizations is still useful in modern time.

While contemporary medicine (Westen medicine) has grown and spread significantly in recent history, it has overshadowed traditional folk medicine. But traditional practices, such as herbalism, have not been lost. Today, these practices are commonly known as alternative medicine. In recent years, modern science has gradually started recognizing the benefits of herbal medicines.

CONSULATION

Intake session

First, I offer an intake session lasting 90~120 minutes. This allows me to understand your main complaint and symptom patterns, along with your medical history, lifestyle, diet habit, emotional state, innate body constitution, etc.

Protocol: Herbal Medicine, Diet, Lifestyle Recommendation

Using the information I gathered, I create your customized protocol. The protocol is designed with herbal medicines (Decoction, Tincture, Caps, or Poultice), diet + lifestyle suggestions, and supplementation, depending on your unique case.

Follow-up

I recommend the follow-up consultation after 2 weeks from the initial intake. We can go over any questions with regard to the herbs, physical conditions, and any notes from your diet and lifestyle changes. We can adjust the protocol if necessary. **In long-term treatment, once a month follow-up is recommended.

CONDITIONS

Stress Management & Relef

How we face to stress in our modern society is an influential factor to the wellbeing of the mind and body.

Do you have any chronic sleep disorder, fatigue, headache, etc…?

We identify patterns in your everyday life, figure out the cause of these symptoms, and rebuild habits in your diet and lifestyle to restore vitality.

Digestion

GI track health plays quite an important role in our overall bodily and mental function.

Do you have an appetite?

Do you have acid reflux, gastric pain, or bloating?

How is your bowel movement?

“The gut is the second brain” — has recently been recognized by medical practitioners. Besides nutritional digestion, absorption, and elimination, our GI track produces hormones and provides immune functions. Taking good care of our guts means loving ourselves.

GAPS -Gut and Psychology Syndrome-

Have you ever heard GAPS diet? —Diet approach, established by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, for children and adults with behavioral and learning disabilities, and adults with digestive and immune system disorders.

GAPS is a condition which takes place in the relationship between the digestive system and the brain. In general, GAPS can be presented in children and adult who are diagnosed as autistic spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD/ADD), schizophrenia, dyslexia, dyspraxia, depression, obsessive –compulsive disorder, bi-polar disorder and other neuro-psychological and psychiatric problems.

The diet change is the biggest key to above conditions.

Detox

The liver manages more than 500 tasks in our body. It is our hardest working organ. One of the biggest tasks is detox.

It plays a vital role in secreting female hormones, metabolizing (sugar, fat, and alcohol), and anti-aging. Therefore, detox is a major key to not only preventing many disorders, but also maintaining our beauty inside and out.

Acne & Skin Conditions

When your skin shows unwanted symptoms, it is a sign of imbalance inside your body.

Since the skin is the largest organ in our body, it can be severely influenced through contact with the external world.

Persistent acne after the adolescence, acute or chronic dermatitis and atopic… Finding out whether these symptoms come from internal factors or external factors will give us the appropriate protocol for treatment.

Female Complaints

Active women in modern life are glorious, displaying their abundant capacities in all parts of society. Yet, in the shadow beneath the success, many are going through hormonal imbalances from stress or acrasia.

Women can suffer from PMS, depression over severe menstrual cramps, worries about irregular menstruation, longing for a natural fertile body, etc. The female body is exquisitely mysterious, and delicate. We must show respect to the body by closely observing, with a natural, holistic approach, and learn how to balance one's self. Herbalism is a great opportunity to listen to your body.

Allergy

Annoyed by seasonal or environmental allergy, hey fever, or (and) food allergy? Some people have to be extremely careful of foods and environmental conditions for their health and safety. Their lives can be made more comfortable to learn how to cope with allergies through herbs and diets containing anti-inflammatory constituents, along with keeping an eye on triggering factors.
